Garage Doors

Below are things to consider when shopping for a garage door. The garage doors that we install are from C.H.I. Door, AMARR Door, and NorthWest Door.

Insulation

The amount, or lack, of  insulation determines the heat retention [R-value] of a garage door. A higher R-value means a higher heat retention capacity. By buying garage doors with higher R-values you can save more money on heating cost.

 

-Non-Insulated

      R-value: 0, or no heat retention.

-Insulated

  • Vinyl Back

      R-value: 1-3/8" Thick Insulated Models- 7.94

                   9/16"  Thick Insulated Models- 3.56

-Steel Back

  • Raised Panel

       R-value: 2" Thick Insulated Model- 9.65

  • Flush Panel

       R-value: 2" Thick Insulated Model- 10.29
